"JT Engineering, Inc. (JT) is pleased to announce the beginning of the firm’s real estate acquisition team by hiring accomplished real estate professional Anita LaCoursiere.
Anita LaCoursiere joined JT on March 17, 2022, bringing over 20 years of real estate acquisition and project management experience to the firm. She holds a Real Estate Broker’s license and is an Approved Negotiator with the International Right of Way Association, Federal Highway Administration, National Highway Institute, and Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT).
The first eight years of Anita’s career were spent with WisDOT as a Senior Real Estate Specialist. Her role included landowner negotiations, eminent domain law and policy, residential and business relocations, and sales of excess lands. Anita worked directly with Federal, State, County, and local governmental agencies on permit needs and issues. Supplemental duties included reviewing appraisals and title work. She also served as the relocation specialist during that time.
Anita then served 12 years with American Transmission Company (ATC). Her duties included the review of easements for existing rights and, if not clear, securing new or supplemental easements, preparing cost estimates for engineering teams for any real estate needs, hiring and managing consultants for appraisal and negotiation work, and working with landowners to reimburse for any crop or building damages occurred during construction or after emergency storm damage work.
Anita is excited to bring her years of experience to JT Engineering and assist public and private clients with their land acquisition needs.
