Civil 3D Workshop - Using the Metadata to Build a Better Road

Neal and Dean will talk about their firsthand experience as a surveyor and as a designer in creating and using the WisDOT metadata and contractor data packet. The workshop will help designers see how the data is used by surveyors and contractors before and during construction. It will highlight the current process as outlined in the CMM and FDM. Dean will speak to how he uses the metadata to check the metadata and bridge the gap between the 2D plans and the 3D world of construction. Neal will demonstrate some methods of how the designer can create more robust exports beginning with a solid design.
