Leadership Institute Class of 2021 Kick-off Session
The Leadership Institute Class of 2021’s began their journey last week in Green Bay. While our session certainly looked different than normal, the discussions, content and lessons learned remained as rich and engaged as ever.
Our first session, A/E Firm Leadership: Know Thyself Then Others, helped leaders become more self-aware and apply leadership techniques to motivate and engage others. Industry consultant John Geddie led the group learned how to leverage their own strengths and compensate for weaknesses via the personalized DiSC assessment results. Understanding their own preferences and learning to recognize the preferences of others is key to communicating and leading effectively.
The session featured a panel of successful industry leaders. Stephanie Christensen, John Kissinger and John Rathke shared leadership insights and lessons learned with the class. Our panelists were very honest and candid. Learning from Wisconsin’s industry leaders is a valuable feature of the program.
In addition to learning from our presenter and panelists, Class Advisor Gil Hantzsch, MSA Professional Services, attends each session to provide real-world insights and serves as a resource and mentor throughout the course of the program. Participants also learn from each other as we share our own insights and work with accountability partners to set and reach goals.
We’re looking forward to working with the Class of the 2021!
