American Engineering Testing Inc. is pleased to announce that Alan Wiesman has been promoted to NDT Manager in the firm’s Wausau office.

‘Wausau, Wisconsin – American Engineering Testing (AET), a leader in the fields of NDT (nondestructive testing), geotechnical, environmental, materials and forensic engineering, is excited to announce the promotion of experienced technician, Alan (Al) Wiesman to NDT Manager of their Wausau, WI office. In his new role, Wiesman will be responsible for the continued growth of the company’s nondestructive testing services and the day to day NDT activities in the Wausau office. “Al’s wealth of experience in nondestructive testing and proven leadership skills has expanded our ability to serve our clients over the years,” said NDT Division Manager Dave Fitterer. “I am excited to announce his promotion and look forward to seeing how his leadership in Wausau will continue to help AET innovate and grow to serve our clients.”

Wiesman has spent his over 20-year career with AET, starting as a construction materials technician. He quickly moved into nondestructive testing and was one of AET’s first NDT technicians in their Wausau, WI office. Growing the NDT services out of this office, Wiesman has provided clients with nondestructive examinations in radiography, magnetic particle, liquid penetrant and visual inspections. He has become the go to technician for ASME shops and has lent his inspection expertise to many area projects including the latest addition at the Weston Power Plant.

Wiesman is an active member of the American Society of Nondestructive Testing and holds the following certifications; ASNT Level II Magnetic Particle, Liquid Penetrant, Visual and Radiography testing; IRRSP Industrial Radiographer Certification, ACCP Level II Magnetic Particle and Radiography testing; and PED Level II Magnetic Particle and Radiography testing.
