Ayres Associates is pleased to announce that Dave Pantzlaff has been promoted to director of midwest transportation services. Read the full press release below:
'Ayres has announced Dave Pantzlaff, PE, has been promoted to the position of director of Midwest transportation services. Pantzlaff is based in Ayres’ Eau Claire headquarters.
In this new position, Pantzlaff focuses his more than four decades of structural engineering experience toward understanding what clients need and directing the collective energy of Ayres' respected structures, hydraulics, and roadway engineers toward solving transportation problems. Pantzlaff has been a project engineer and manager for various bridge projects with Ayres since 1978 and managed the bridge operation from 1990 to early 2020 before becoming director.
“Dave has been working alongside our clients for decades,” says Eric Sorensen, PE, vice president of transportation. “In this position he’s going to continue to do what he does so well – nurture partnerships that will give Ayres the vision to see the next way we can help our clients prepare for the future.”
Pantzlaff has been involved in a variety of structural design projects, including over 1,000 highway, railroad, and pedestrian bridges and various dams, buildings, tanks, and walls. He has managed bridge replacement and rehabilitation projects, including engineering studies, design, client contact, and agency coordination. He's also overseen and managed the design of interchange structures and large bridges on major rivers.
Pantzlaff holds professional engineer registrations in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michigan, Florida, Georgia, and Arizona. He holds a Master of Science degree in structural engineering from Iowa State University and a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. He’s a member of the American Council of Engineering Companies, the American Society of Civil Engineers, and the National Society of Professional Engineers.
