Reflecting on a Successful Year
Date postedJune 27, 2022
As our ACEC Wisconsin 2021-2022 fiscal year comes to a close, I want to let you all know that I am honored to have had the privilege of being your Chair this past year. Seems like just yesterday I was putting down my thoughts as my term was beginning.
I also want to take this time to highlight a few of things that we have accomplished over the past year.
- I am truly excited that we have established an Emerging Professionals Committee as we look to encourage engagement of our younger members. As I have watched this committee come together, I can assure you that we are in great shape for the future.
- We have made great strides to strengthen our partnership with the Department of Transportation as we work together to deliver a robust Infrastructure Program for the State of Wisconsin.
- We have made progress on improving our business environment by taking the initial steps to change how our state statutes define indemnification/duty to defend and the affect this has on our engineering firms.
- And finally, we held a strategic planning session in late May where we created a plan to carry ACEC WI into the future. Thank you to everyone that took time out of your busy schedules to take part in this.
As I close, I would like to thank our ACEC Wisconsin staff - Chris Klein, Kelly Veit, and Andrew Heidtke – who make our job on the Board easy. They go above and beyond to better ACEC Wisconsin and our firms. ACEC Wisconsin is an organization that I strongly believe brings value to our professional engineering firms. We are in good hands.
Enjoy your Wisconsin summer!
