Wisconsin Participates in Great Lakes Regional Meeting
The Great Lakes Region, a network of American Council of Engineering Companies state organizations – Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Ohio and Wisconsin – met this week in Columbus, Ohio. The annual summer event provides the opportunity for states to learn from each other. Topics ranged from a state-by-state update on current legislative and regulatory issues to member engagement, strategic planning and non-dues revenue sources. Our ACEC Executive Committee Liaison Kenny Smith provided an update on National issues.
In addition to exchanging ideas and best practices, attendees visited the Smart Columbus Experience Center. The experience center offered a glimpse into how Columbus is reinventing transportation to accelerate human progress through open mobility. Our tour included a presentation and opportunities to test drive electric vehicles and experience the autonomous shuttle.
ACEC Wisconsin Chair Kim Lobdell, Chair-elect John Kissinger, National Director Dave Brose, President Chris Klein and COO Kelly Veit attended the event.
