WisDOT Design Awards Call for Entries

Ladies and Gentlemen,

It’s time for the 2025 Design Awards! This is your call for Nominations.

The Design Awards are an annual opportunity to celebrate the excellent design work being done throughout the Department. Please share this call for awards widely with your staff and consultant partners.

Attached please find information about the Design Awards program, including the judging criteria and nomination requirements. The criteria are aligned with the Department’s priorities, so many projects should be able to compete. Projects do not need to be “big” to enter! (Also – I will be sending additional “how-to” material and examples in the next couple weeks, to help encourage designers to participate.)

Each region is encouraged to submit one nomination in each of the following seven categories:

Best Structure - WisDOT                                Best Structure - Consultant/Municipality

Best Urban Project - WisDOT                       Best Urban Project - Consultant/Municipality

Best Rural Project - WisDOT                         Best Rural Project - Consultant/Municipality

Best Local Program Project

Nominations are due at Central Office by Friday, December 20, 2024.
